A Look Back in 2020

During the past year, practicing Real Estate has had to shift in many ways.  Since March 2020, we’ve witnessed a surge in buyers moving into our area as their needs have changed for several reasons; needing more space, looking for a home with a yard, as well as the opportunity to work from home, lessening the need to commute.  Home prices have risen and inventory of homes for sale remain at all-time lows.  The fact that homeowners are not selling their homes may be attributed to the fact that they also have been given the opportunity to tele-commute, plus the fact that inventory is low nation-wide which lessens the choices for them to purchase a home elsewhere; so why not stay put if they can?

We may have changed our name, but we offer the same great service to our customers and clients. In September, 2020, Rand Realty announced that they have joined forces with Howard Hanna Real Estate in the creation of a new partnership in the Greater Hudson Valley region. The announcement finalized a partnership between Rand Realty, the No. 1 real estate brokerage firm in the Greater Hudson Valley, and the nation’s largest independently owned brokerage firm, Howard Hanna.  Rand Realty, now Howard Hanna | Rand Realty, has 28 offices serving Rockland County, Orange County, Westchester County, Bronx, Sullivan County, Ulster County, and Putnam County in New York, as well as Bergen County, Passaic County, Hudson County, Morris County, and Essex County in New Jersey. I’m proud to be a part of this amazing Brokerage and look forward to continuing my career with a professional and friendly team.
